Sending a parcel with Sendit is simple. 1. Click on 'Start Sending' on the homepage to set up your delivery request. 2. Enter the origin, destination, parcel details, and your preferred budget. 3. Browse matching travelers or transporters who are traveling along your route. 4. Accept a carrier's bid, secure your payment via our platform, and hand over your parcel. Our system will handle tracking and secure release coordinates upon delivery.
Sendit provides real-time GPS tracking for all active shipments. Once your parcel is picked up by the transporter, you can view their real-time location directly from the tracking dashboard. The transporter's mobile app shares GPS signals periodically, giving you step-by-step updates. You'll receive instant notifications for key checkpoints: 'Picked Up', 'In Transit', 'Near Destination', and 'Delivered'.
When a traveler arrives with your parcel: 1. Meet at the designated pickup location. 2. Inspect the parcel to verify it is intact and matches the description. 3. Share the unique secure 4-digit PIN code from your app with the transporter. The transporter will enter this PIN in their app to unlock the payout, confirming successful delivery and closing the order.
We hold payment securely in escrow when you book a shipment. Transporters receive their payout instantly once the recipient shares the delivery verification PIN. Sendit charges a nominal platform fee (typically 5-10%) to cover escrow insurance, customer support, and secure payment processing. Travelers keep 100% of their agreed shipping fee.
If you are traveling and want to earn money by carrying parcels: 1. Navigate to the 'Travel & Earn' portal. 2. Log in and click 'Post a Trip'. 3. Enter your departure date, origin, destination, travel mode, and available package capacity. Once posted, senders can view your route and request you to carry their packages, or you can bid on existing delivery requests that match your route.
